Spring is usually a celebratory season for the My Friend's Place community, featuring our Annual Gala and Spring Fling celebrations. This year, while we are still providing essential services for youth experiencing homelessness, we have postponed all of our in-person social events.

But we miss our supporters! So, since we can't meet physically, we've decided to throw Social DisDANCE, a virtual party for our community via Zoom on Saturday, April 25, from 5-6 p.m.! We hope you'll join us for an hour-long program hosted by comedian and longtime My Friend's Place supporter Meera Manek and featuring:

Performances by singer-songwriter Scott Helman
A dance party with DJ IG
Costume contest where attendees can show off their best "quarantine chic" looks
An update from the leadership at My Friend's Place about how we are helping our youth during this crisis
A chance to connect with your friends and the broad My Friend's Place community

For a $10 donation, which will go towards providing our young people experiencing homelessness with clean socks and hygiene kits, participants will receive a private Zoom link via email 30 minutes before the event.

We miss you and we hope you'll join us for an evening of laughter, dancing and community!

In the midst of the current crisis, young people experiencing homelessness continue to seek care, resources and opportunities at My Friend's Place to support their health, safety and survival. We are currently serving 60-70 youth each day, in addition to 60-70 vulnerable older individuals experiencing homelessness who have limited access to essential resources and emergency supplies. The staff at My Friend's Place are on the front lines of this crisis, providing critical care in so many ways. Your support makes all of our work possible.
